Hollow Lantern
★★★★★ 4.7
Hollow Lantern is slow, moody, and beautiful. You wander an abandoned town holding a lantern, and the light you carry reveals paths, clues and the occasional gentle scare. It's more about atmosphere than reflexes.
Interaction is all tap-and-drag, and it's built for one hand. That makes it a lovely game to play in bed, and the pacing never demands twitchy inputs. We finished it in a few evenings and immediately wanted to start again to catch what we missed.
Best of all, it's light on the battery. The static, painterly scenes mean the phone stays cool and the charge barely moves, which is rare for something this pretty.
What we liked
- Gorgeous hand-drawn art
- Comfortable one-handed play
